Temperature Sensor
Heat or Temperature Sensor
A temperature sensor on a burglar alarm system is designed to trigger an alarm condition in the event the temperature rises to threatening degree. There are two groups of temperature sensors that include “contact” and “non contact“.
Contact sensors just measure their own temperature while non contact sensors measure in more complexity. Keep in mind when selecting a temperature sensor that you must know the range of detection and custom settings. Check to see if the temperature detector is for indoor or outdoor. Some are designed to rugged use while others are not.
Temperature sensors are easy to install and maintain as long as you keep the correct batteries around. It ensures that the device has power and sending a signal to the master alarm control panel. Some sensors can detect and measure the amount of humidity along with flucuating temperature conditions. Using a temperature detector can save plants, pets and even your life.
