security alarm system keypad

Keypad or Touchpad

The keypad is the alarm system component that permits you to turn your security system ON and OFF.  It is generally installed and located near the entrance of your home so you can activate when you are leaving and deactivate when you are coming home.  In some instances, multiple keypads are installed in areas such as the backdoor, garage and even master bedroom.  This makes it easier to enter your home and operate the alarm system from different locations.   It is also the keypad that is used for all programming functions such as program changes, error codes, troubleshooting, zone bypassing, adding users and arming or disarming the system.
