A freeze sensor on your burglar alarm system is the component that detects low temperature conditions near the freezing mark. Freeze sensors prevent potential damage from freezing that may result in pipe burst or other low temperature related problems.
Installation of a freeze sensor should be near all of the areas that are prone of freezing conditions. This is prevent expensive damage due to water and pipes that can burst and flood a home. Every burglar alarm system should have at least one freeze sensor.
